yesterday. What about it? It was good. No. It was GREAT.
Retreat, for starters, was a great revelation. We all took back with us the sense of how we hunger by not just considering it in an "oh well, session 1 done." Its more of a "I don't wanna leave!" sensation. It really made my day. There were games and bonding, and got to know Nathan a little. The Chambers are one of the nicest people I've met. Nathan was Angelina Jolie in one of the games where we were supposed to guess who we are. He asked if he was a biblical character and I started to laugh. Gosh. I got Adolf Hitler. Not much of an incentive either. Dwight got AHH-you-me..
guessed it yet?
Ayumi Hamasaki. How could he ever explain that for a forfeit that required acting skills to show your character?!
The worship was awesome. There is no other word to describe the presence of God in that place. During the final prayer, when the few gathered to pray for Dwight and I, I could feel His warm embrace, telling me how much he loved me and that everything that I asked him to take hold of would be good. Thanks for the prayer guys. (: Esp Ruth who rushed down to pray with me.
Service.
That was a shocker. We had sound check first, then we still couldn't decide on how to end the song without it being abrupt, so I decided to ask Clement. He saved the ending! It didn't sound weird after that! Thank God he came early. Praise the Lord for that.
Pastor B intro-ed me before the sr camp slide show. It was quite interesting. We took our places, me, Joee and Dwight, then after I told them the title I wanted to count Dwight in. (more details, ask Dwight) Then something happened but there're wasn't a big hooha about it so thats good. I started singing then I suddenly felt nervous. but after a while, I felt Him take over. I just looked the congregation straight in the eye and sang and played. When he said it would be good, it will be done.
Everything went smoothly. I'd still like to thank all the people in the front line with me and behind the scenes. Joee and Dwight for standing with me in the front line. It wasn't a battle but I had my own internal battle to fight for reasons I shall not disclose for viewer discretion. To Clement for saving the ending-what would we have done without you. To Mun Pun and Colleen who stayed with us on Friday, Mun Pun, Kenny and Xian for the sound today. To everyone whose prayers have been answered and finally, to the Lord God Almighty that was in the chapel, taking control of everything he said he would.
...And it was good.
Tomorrow's a new day and another retreat day!!! Good night everyone.
