"Get a move on!" It was the rush hour and Derick was getting impatient with the snail of a traffic and the nauseating persistent honking. Ashley sat beside him with their Starbucks getting colder by the minute. "Calm down. They can't hear you from inside the car." "I just wish they would do their reconstruction somewhere else but here you know. Its not as if its smooth traffic here the rest of the time." "Well there must be a reason to the hold up." Ashley said keeping calm and hoping there was a perfectly reasonable explaination to it all. Derick finally reached the traffic officer. "Morning sir. Whats the hold up?" "There's a sink hole in the middle of the intersection so you'd have to detour down that street back onto the main road. Sorry for the inconvenience." "Oh don't worry about it. Its not like its your fault." A smile lit up the stern face of the officer. Derick smiled back and wound up his window. "See I told you there was a reason for it." Ashley covered up her relief. "Yes dear. And I'm sure it will be better after its all over."
You see, God is doing major construction but even in the midst of the mess, His glory is revealed. Once the process is complete, things begin its flow better. The reconstruction cannot possibly have no change or there would be no progress. An upgrade would have taken place and it is then you will see the harvest. "He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows" (Isa 30:23-24). Be patient and you will see the result of His work.
