It really was just what I needed. Despite all the excessive laughter and mindless talk.
And even after moments like those, I usually get very hyped in other ways. You know? When you've had fun and too much fun? I usually just get home and think "ooo that was fun. Gotta do it again sometime." Today was different.
I came back and did some unusual stuff like listen to the recording of last week's worship, went around the house a bit doing stuff and finally when I was done, I sat down and felt like worshipping. So I sat on my bed with my classical guitar and strummed a few cool chords (or chords I thought were cool). Then came an interesting progression and a variation. (with plucking mind you) Next were the words. Then I stopped and opened audacity just in case. I did a little "Improv Jazz Podcast" thing with audacity and there was the song. I stunned at the verse, pre-chorus and chorus.
So I tried it again. It was good.
I decided I should record it a little better, so I did another track and this time with verse 2 and bridge.
There's a lot of free-styling and what-nots but it is a totally awesome experience no one should miss out on. Free worship is one step from writing songs yo. Do it. Turn on your recording device and start recording and cutting!
