I think I'll freak out on my wedding thinking of those vows.
And to think I say I can't wait to know my husband.
I mean, of course I'd love to know my husband. Its just the whole relationship thing is freaking me out.

There's been some weird things going on.
What is wrong with the guys around me?
A lot of them that I don't really know seem to be getting "closer".
STOP IT.
At least I'm not going back to school and I'll never you all again.
I hope.
HAHA!

The last day is OVER!
I'm gonna miss Fel, Hejing, Amy and Takuya. :(

Oh yes. I will not miss out on the most imporatant point of the day!

Today was an amazing miracle.
It was totally awesolutely crazy.
Here's what went down:
I rushed out of vista to meet Hejing and clear some stupid outstanding fines/fees of a stupid sum of $6 for something I don't remember and have no impression or inclination of.
Because it took so long, Hejing had to go first. (Bad event 1)
With her departure, I decided to take a cab home first as my mother instructed, so I did. That was $15. (Bad event 2)
I got home only to realise I don't have my keys and my phone ran out of battery when I went to pay the outstanding fines/fees. (Bad event 3)
Also, my mother was not home (when I was requested to be home) so I borrowed my neighbour's socket to charge my phone to make a few calls. My classmate, thankfully, took my keys so I rushed down in a cab to get them back. Cost: $20+ (Bad event 4)
I took a train to Bishan only to realise I did not confirm with Winnie and Mildred the exact meeting place at the location. So I waited until 7.30 pm at different places.
Because of that, I met Jonathan! (Good event 1)
We waited and talked a little, but it was a good talk. (Good event 2)
Then I had to leave to meet my girlfriends.
When I got there, they weren't at the meeting place so I decided to go to the toilet. Then on the way up the escalator, I saw them. (Good event 3)
We had a great dinner, great talk and awesometastic time together.
Then after all the fun, we had to go home. At the bus stop, I bumped into...guess who?
FEL! (Good event 4)
I had a good ride, walk and talk with Winnie too. (Good event 5)

Hello blessings.
I had a really good night despite being extremely tired and being back really late in a long time.
I just wish SOMEONE would have driven me home.

No time for Gossip Girl today.

The Final Riot

No, really.
Its my last week of school. haha.

And Selwyn got the SOFT COPY of The Final Riot.
*angers*
I'm just kidding.

How everything's turning out isn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Some friends I gotta take as acquaintances, some I thought was family isn't and some that I thought wasn't family, is.
How complicated. Or not.
Surprisingly, I'm taking all these with a pinch of salt so its not so salty. (hears the chorus of "LIZZIEEEEEEE......" and all those depressed faces.)
Depressed in the literal meaning. HAHA.

Anyway something happened this morning/last night that made me a little worried but I'm hoping it will all be fine and people will be mature about all that will happen.
God be your guide.

There's gotta be something more than just having to reject a guy 3 weeks before I leave, watch a relationship build and watch one not work out.
What is up with all this relationship stuff!
Annoying much?

In the 2 weeks of strange "solitude", I will be attempting to finish season 1 of Gossip Girl and Ghost Whisperer.
Gossip Girl's not addictive! Who says it is!
Heroes made me want to slap myself.

Alright. Shaun is playing We The Kings - Check Yes Juliet. Its distracting.
And now I keep mishearing the lyrics.

I also need to write and awesometastic song with some people. I'm adding Zhe Yan to my list of people to co-write with.

Ah yes.
Yesterday.
Yesterday was a blessed day.
Hearing the testimonies of the people from the Phillipines made me tear a little and when they spoke, it made me laugh.
At least Clement wasn't there to make me burst out laughing.

My mind's on standby.
The creative road map we're planning today for the next 12 months is taking a lot of me.

Bonafide

Just watched Sex and The City.
Its not as bad a show as I thought.
It makes your fourties look a little more exciting.
And now 20 doesn't seem so old.

There was this little theme about love and I pity not having watched it before my FYP or I wouldn't have screwed it up so badly.
I love the fact that it was all quite real (considering its a movie and they're all very/rather rich) and also about the relationships of the 4 girls.
That or life has just reflected Hollywood.

I need to pick up.
I know I do, and get out of this sickening phase.
This comfort is hard to move from though.
I kinda like it having 3 people I can really talk to. (no names but the 3 of you will know who you are)
I like it I can be SO open and not be judged, criticised, shoved aside and scoffed at.
I can say what I want, all I want and be kept in check.

Tell me how do I find friends like these in NZ?

Haha. No biggie.
I'm just thinking.

College

Yes I watched it.
Kill me, persecute me, scream at me if you like.
I really wonder what college will be like over in NZ.
Hopefully not so disgusting, especially when I'm staying alone.
Or kind of alone.

Now everyone's lecturing me about going to NZ.
"You should becareful!"
"Don't trust people so easily"
"Make one friend and stick to them, make sure they're a good person."
"Won't you be lonely?"

Ah. You know, it wouldn't be so different from Singapore except that I wouldn't have anyone I know prior to my stay there to help me.
I believe I can make friends in the 2 days of orientation.
Hopefully orientation isn't the "campus tour" kind of thing.
Some bonding and stuff would be good.
And I wonder how the band thing is gonna work out too when we have to play for chapel.
Hope I can find a band there I can jam with.

I AM EXCITED!
But I'll miss you Selwyn.

Yes, 3 weeks.
My flight's at 9pm so whoever can make it can join me for dinner and then bear our eyes out.
Should be at the airport earlier for dinner so there's more time for goodbyes.

I've been thinking and here's a list of things I can't/can fulfill or whatever.
Things you can't do in 3 weeks:
1) Have a relationship
2) Date people who are perpetually busy
3) Write 10 songs with people when some of them are perpetually busy
4) Go jamming
5) (I will not elaborate farther. It's actually making me a little annoyed.)
6) Write a script

Things you can do in 3 weeks:
1) Have a part time boyfriend
2) Date people who are free or are willing to make time
3) Write my own songs but I don't have inspiration. So how? Listen to my old songs.
4) Go jamming with people who are willing to or just wait til I get to NZ and find people who actually want to.
5) (Again it annoys me.)

Haha.
Yes. What a wonderful feeling to have 3 weeks before leaving.
Being virtually pissed off.
I can't wait to go.
I'll miss you.

Lizzay's 20th and farewell + others.

Let me just say IT WAS FUN.
It began with the horrific transporting of things to the cab which is now giving my shoulder aches.
I need a massage.
Ah yes.
It was a pretty bad start and my phone had to hang and die at that time.
I decided to cool down and open my present from Winnie, Mil, Mark, Jap and Selwyn.
You guys are awesome.
I miss Arumugamuthuparapap.
:(
Well it cheered me up so much that I didn't even flare up at the taxi driver when he screamed at my mom and I to put on our seat belts.
Pfft.

Anyway. First people to come were Rebecca and her mom, Aunty Lucy, Clement, Luke and Nic!
Clement got afraid of the balloons bursting spontaneously so I let him do the ceiling decorations just to be safe.
After that, Clara and Meeble came, followed by the Arumugamuthuparapap gang.
Yay Selwyn! :D (random shout)
Then there was everyone else.

It was cool to see everyone from mininstry and cell be there.

Thank you all. All of you were there to celebrate with me.
Don't wanna miss any of you out.

Special thanx to a couple of people though for small little gestures that day that were so not themselves and I loved it: Glenn and Selwyn.
Thank you soooo much.

All the wonderful people and company.
Kinda sucks though when people have so many other things to attend to on that day but its no biggie.

Happy Birthday step bro

Here's a little something that ties us together. Not a happy thing but it made me who I am today. :) Hope you enjoy your birthday. God bless you so much. Make sure Dad does something nice for you! haha.

There was a deafening silence over the house.
Being three and small, I was quiet as a mouse.
The tranquility, momentary, broken by the creak
Of the swing of the metal gate that was oh-so-weak.

The commotion drew my little attention span
And I understood completely what was going on then.
There was banging and screaming and storming around
Yet still, I stood in my place, not making a sound.

The racous became accustomed with my ear,
Siphoning words and phrases that I hear.
More banging and angsty voices raised,
To tell you the truth I was amazed.

The voices were coming closer this time,
Sounds of garbled words and "never you mind!"
There was a moment of hurried frenzy of hands
Grabbing my arms. I knew I didn't stand a chance.

In my quietness I broke free and cried
Escaped to the bedroom and sought refuge inside.
Behind the locked door I was safe from the fight
Nothing mattered, save for a bed and some light.

The aftermath was not a pretty scene to behold
The breaking of marital bonds was thus then foretold.
The life of a three year old ceased to define
The rest of her years ahead are also mine.

The night before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Except for my son Billy's pet mouse named Chris.
I'm not really sure where I'm going with this.

Anyway, my wife in her kerchief and I in my cap,
Were asleep after a long day of Christmassy crap.
When then, from the chimney, there arose quite a clamour,
"There's someone in the house" my frightened wife stammered.
I reached for the bedside, grabbed my handgun and said,
"This trespasser's getting an ass full of lead"

I crept down the stairway, and slid down the hall,
And, handgun in hand, I peered 'round the wall.
The burglar wore red, and stood fat and stout,
With a large burlap sack, to hold jewelry no doubt.
Who this guy was, I just couldn't place,
For a bushy white beard covered most of his face.

Now, I'm not a bad person, I think you'd agree,
But you just don't break into a man's house, you see.
"Hey you" I said, as he spun 'round with a twitch,
"Merry Christmas, you son of a bitch!"
I fired a shot as he dove to the floor.
Through a flurry of tinsel, I fired twice more.
"Please stop!" he yelled loudly, "You don't understand"
"Stay away from my family, you disgusting old man"

With his finger on his nose, he lept with a burst,
And dashed for the fireplace, but I got there first.
I pushed the muzzle into his beard white as snow,
When suddenly a small voice behind me cried "No!"

I turned 'round and saw it was Billy, my son.
With his pet mouse in hand, he said "Put down the gun.
What are you doing? Don't you know who that is?
Couldn't you tell by that red hat of his?
That's Santa Claus, dad. It's jolly Saint Nick.
Now put down the gun. Come on, don't be a dick."
Billy was right, this old man meant no harm.
I holstered my gun, as he outstretched his arm.
In a flash he took the gun right out of its holder,
And fired a shot into my left shoulder.

"Goddamnit!" I cried as I fell to the floor,
While the burglar made haste toward the jewelry drawer.
"I feel kind of bad" he said, filling his sack,
"But you believe in Santa, so cut me some slack.
Maybe next time someone breaks into your house,
You won't listen to some six year old kid with a mouse."

Then he yelled, as he ran off with my bigscreen TV,
"Merry Christmas to all. Well, maybe to me!"

I finally have a wishlist of reasonable, affordable wishes after a long long time!

1) Spend time with ALL friends INDIVIDUALLY. (sian. no time.)
2) Paramore DVD The Final Riot!
3) Watch movies with friend/s
4) Watch AVA - done
5) Go jamming.
6) Write 10 songs before I leave.
7) Write co-written songs with Nigel, Luke, Clement, Glenn and Pam.
8) Arrange my songs with a band.
9) (not so affordable but I'll just put it down) H2 handy recorder

Here are the not so afforable ones that I wanna save up for!

1) Canon DSLR +flash - hello pro series
2) Acoutic guitar - Yamaha A500x (i think) blues guitar
3) MacBook Pro + ProTools
4) Mini grand or real grand! - greedyyy
5) A better phone.

This is why I don't have wishlists.
I want too many things that are unaffordable.
I'm good with what I have.
Especially my guitar cos it CAN have a good acoustic sound as compared to say... a Fender?
HAHAH.
Okay la. No more, no more.

Affordable ones quite affordable right.

Happy Birthday Charlene!

Thank you for being an awesome co-leader.
Thank you for your encouragement, love, care and concern.
It was really great working with you.

Its 12:42am on the 6th of January, 2009.
I'm listening to my lastest composition from my FYP and realise, its probably the best composition of 2008.
Time And Tide began from a poem on this very blog.
Somehow, I decided to turn it into a song.
Its not even a worship song.
I like it.
Simple acoustic layering.
Back To Basics is an animation inspired song too.
Thank you to madagascar for the concept inspiration.
As for the song itself, the bass is synthetic but it sounds real.
Then there's the drums - kudos to Glenn. You're awesome.
My FYP, at first, was supposed to be the worst production.
Me being me, decided to record the music well.
Thus the results.
I'm hooked on the songs.
My own songs.
How does that happen?
And I didn't think they were award winning songs, just mediocre but now, they seem to win a lot more time on my playlist.

God, your plans are totally mad.
Me likey.
This FYP is in Your hands.

First day of school

Today's post has absolutely nothing to do with school!
It has been an interesting day though.

So here's a quiz (from dee's blog) about things on my mind.

Jan2, 2009; Jan3, 2009

I enjoyed my first Friday and Saturday of the year.
Really glad I could start it this way.

Right now, I'm not an occassion person.
I mean, I thoroughly enjoyed my new year and I'm really glad that although I had to slog the entire night, I could still have fun and even get a few hours of sleep.

Then there was my mom's return from kiwiland.
My Jan2 was awesome too. (Happy Birthday Aud!)
Enjoyed the morning with Timmy and Clement :D
Glad to meet the clique again :)
And the Sample This! retreat.
I ate 4 meals that day.

Then there was Jan3, 2009.
Best day so far of 2009.
I got back from the retreat to spend some time with mummy then met Luke.
I haven't had a day like this in a long time.
Thank you :)
Bumped into Pops, Tricia and Jia Wen.
Then after that, I spotted Rulin (muh PL senior) at DG mrt.
I cannot believe how long its been since we were in PL.
Had a pretty good talk, and interesting too.

Well, details are pretty important but not on this blog! haha
You'll get bored but it made my day a whole lot more entertaining.
All of you better not get married til I'm back. *growls*

I don't even know why I blogged such pointless things but I guess I had to say something about my Saturday.

I loved it.

I miss you.
