My voice spoil

Okay.
People like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Shania Twain, Celine Dion and all the divas are AWESOME.
I'm not really scared of performing as I am of doing worse the next time.
But I am scared of screwing up too.
Its crazy to hit a Passagio note thats 2 ocatves above the middle.
At least the note is on the word "You" which gives me a natural pout and the octave requires a lift that comes as it is.
Sheesh.

I'm actually learning! Which is great but the physiology stuff is driving me nuts.
And PRODUCTION ASSESSMENT IN A WEEK!
Caleb. You're mad.
And I had no idea Les Paul had something to do with delay! Waisale is THE MAN. *peace*
I'm glad for the holidays.
At least I get to rest for a week and I won't be bored when I head to Rotorua!

Anyway. Student worship was funny too.
Brett tried to eat a mint and it made a crap lot of noise when the speaker was speaking.
So naturally, he tried to hide it.
Then after 5 minutes of trying to peel it, he finally bit the top off and ate it.
Then Caleb turned to him and went "can I have one?"
Pfft.
Tutors.

Its not so funny now.

Blatantly stupid

Today was a stupid day.
Not that it sucked or anything.

It was the kind of mediocre days where one aspect of it stands out the most and its usually the most horrendous thing that happened.
Well, for me, that day is today and that thing is a comment from a person.

"Don't worry, it took me 4 years to stop being gullible" is so not a comment.
Like what the not-heaven.
Don't bring your mundane simpleton idiosyncrasy into my not-heaven of a life.

Its just stupid.
YOUR FACE IS JUST STUPID.
And this time I'm not kidding.

Distasteful flirting and indiscretion is not permitted within the compound of the college.

Performance Workshop

I just performed!
And I got really great and good comments from CALEB, BRETT, PATRICK, Sarah-Jay, Sarah C, Maramena "Did you realise I didn't laugh for the last 10 minutes" Rauhina, Sam, Kathy, Breony, Taini, Joice, Karen, Waisale (which is really amazing cos he hardly says anything) and some guy called David. Thanx you guys.
And thanx for doing the word stuff Kate! :)

COOL.

Brett should be marked down for saying "That was awesome."
Pfft.

Anyway.
Today was really good. But I just thought I could learn more from production today instead learning just about compressors, not even touch on limiters and having strange scenarios brought up that we can understand more about instead of "which button handles the 'attack'?". which is pretty darn obvious when you take a look at the compressor.

"Its the one thats labelled 'ATTACK'?" lol.

Well.
It was good talking to Caleb about it.
And also having go through performance workshop today, starting off my year with an interesting start.
I just hope I improve and not stagnate.

Yay.

It was GREAT.

Chris and Matt sound like girls when they scream.

Anyway, besides being extremely confused right now, I'm really enjoying myself.

Its been a ginormously great week.
And this week, sad to say, I won't be having Caleb's classes on Tuesday BUT I still have Patrick's class in the afternoon, HOURS after Student Worship.
BLEHBLEHBLEH.
Its a sign to practice my piano. haha.

I'm looking forward to another great week after another!
Holidays will be kinda sad though.

Caleb's syndrome is totally stuck in my head.

Well. Here's a little something the bible says about thoughts.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. - Isa55:8-9

My thoughts aren't evil in human standards but they are in God's eyes.
So with what was said, my thoughts should be the thoughts that are higher than mine.
What did king David do to have such a relationship with God and gave him all the words for his psalms that even tutors cannot judge?
God, you have given me a natural ability to understand things through hearing and mentally converting them into action.
I thank you for that so that I didn't screw up horribly today.
Caleb must be absolutely horrified at my playing.

He gives us what we don't deserve.

Knowledge is a lot of things, but wisdom is a lot more.
So this isn't a small thing.

God, moving here is the best thing You've asked me to do

"See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many." - Hebrews 12:15

In business and life the opportunity to harbor bitterness for a wrong suffered is great.
We are given plenty of opportunities to grow bitter from relationships that bring hurt and pain.
The writer of the Hebrews passage above admonishes us not to miss the grace of God so that we won't take up bitterness as a response to life's pain.
He cautions us against this because he knows that a bitter root grows and grows until it eventually defiles many others through a wake of bitterness.

If bitterness is allowed to take root, we become imprisoned to it. God's grace will no longer have as great an effect in our lives.
We become ineffective, insensitive, and spiritually dead.
We can even become physically ill from it.
God does not live in bitterness.
He lives in grace.
He has provided grace for every person to walk in.
One day I was challenged to deal with an individual who hurt me terribly.
I was faced with a decision. Would I choose bitterness, or would I choose grace?
Oh, how my natural tendency was to choose bitterness. But God provided the courage to choose grace.
With that grace came freedom - a freedom to love and even accept the person who was the source of such pain.
This is the real place where Christ's power is most revealed.
We cannot live without His supernatural grace. '
Are you in need of grace today?
It is there for the receiving.
It will take courage to accept it and walk in it.
This will be your step to freedom.

These are not my words but I can totally relate to it.
Its kinda tiring on my part though.
And yes, it is very easy to fall into bitterness.
But you know, being in NZ is so different.
So much more free and watching and listening to everyone is a really nice change.
Well that is, no one's pissed me off. haha.
But its not the point.
I've never been in a more edifying place. (as in community of people)
I feel REAL here.
Not the "whoa your song is COOL." or "I LOVE YOUR SINGING."
Oh and also, the verse 1Cor8:9 came up. I think its significant in some way to those who actually read this or claim to read it, I hope you see this at some point.

Hey Father,
I ask today that You give me inspiration to do what I have been called to do. Help me be firm in my faith and my calling. Pick me up when I'm down, fill me when I'm empty, edify me when I'm beaten and torn. Help me to build genuine relationships because when I sound ding my relaionships, I only found two where the rope could not reach. Help me to be disciplined.
